Step 1 WordPress Free Website Software
Find a WordPress web hosting service that specializes in WordPress free websites. Sign up for WordPress web hosting. Most have one-year introductory rates of less than $5.00 a month. For example Blueshost.com, Siteground.com, WordPress.com (not to be confused with Wordpress.org which offers free services, plugins, themes, and more).
Your web host should install a WordPress Free website for you as part of the web hosting agreement. You can even sign up for Managed WordPress hosting which provides you free website management and updates to keep your site up and running and secure.
If you don't sign up for the additional cost of WordPress managed hosting you will need to learn how to maintain the website yourself.
Step 2 WordPress Coaching or Tutoring
Learn How to use WordPress software and maintain your website if you are self-managing it.
You can use documentation and video tutorials on WordPress.org and/or Youtube.com But we have found that the best way to be successful and get the most out of your WordPress free website is to hire a WordPress Coach or Tutor.
A WordPress tutor or coach can help you learn the basics of how the software works and help you choose the right theme (design) and needed plugins, such as those for social media, images, security, e-commerce, and more.
Here at GADL we offer basic tutoring for $20/hour. Ongoing coaching for $15 for a minimum commitment of 10 hours. For more information email Gerri at gerrijensen at gmail.com
